- Shadow Refuge: Increase duration to 4...10
- Shadow of Haste: Reduce duration to 15...45, Increase recharge to 45 seconds.
- Assault Enchantment: Reduce recharge to 2 seconds.
- Augury of Death: Now cause deep wound to yourself.
- Beguiling Haze: Increase energy cost to 15, recharge to 20. Shadow Step to target foe, interrupt it, and cause daze.
- Black Mantis Strike: Reduce recharge to 4 seconds.
- Impale: Now foe suffer from Deep Wound
- Death Bloosom: Reduce recharge to 4 seconds.

I tried running a few of them through Babelfish: Just get junk.

Here are a few which I can interpret:
  • Weakness now gives all attributes -1. Nice!
  • Avatar skills now have a 30 sec recharge.
  • Incindery Arrows now has a 3 . . . 15 second duration. That's incredibly sexy. (The old one was 8 for all ranks)
  • Reaper's Mark now has a 5 . . . 15 Energy return. Which is an increddibly minor nerf.
  • Malignant Intervention no longer consumes the corpse. That makes it an incredibly useful skill in PvE, since it's double corpses.
  • Malaise now only causes 1 Energy dehen, but causes 5 . . . 41 damage when the enemy runs out of Energy
  • Wither was changed the same way: Same duration and same health duration, but only 1 Energy degenration. However, the enemy takes 15 . . . 75 damage when Wither ends. Sweet, since that Damage is not migitated by armor, thus making it Energy efficient.
  • Spoil Victor's duration was reduced to 20 seconds. That's a rather mild nerf, compared to what people expected.
  • Searing Flames now has a 1 . . . 5 burning Duration. No comment.
  • Blinding Surge also now has an Energy Cost of 10 Energy. That was predictible.
  • Shield of Absorption now has a Casting time of 1 second. That's because...
  • Shield of Deflection now has a .25 Cast, 1 . . . 7 duration, and flat 75% chance of deflection.

Moved it to the new forum for a moment, but ultimately, I reversed the movement;
The requirements for constructive posting are more stringent in the new forums than in the Riverside, and as nobody has had any actual time to test any of these, and they're not even fully translated yet, it seems best to leave it in Riverside for now.
Especially since there are quite a few bored people with nothing to do than make idle comments waiting for the event to start. (Not targeted at anybody specifically, and includes myself )

Arg my beloved energy surge . I guess it was too good in a pressure build though, and it's still useable, if only as a second energy burn, but I still think it needs some advantage over its non-elite cousin, since adjacent won't hit anything.

I do understand how powerful Energy Surge currently is, however I feel that reducing the Area of Effect to merely "adjacent" will sadly make it unworthy of my Elite Skill slot, as it would essentially be just a duplicate of [wiki]Energy Burn[/wiki] (who stands anywhere near adjacent to their allies these days, other than gimmickers and generally bad players?). While it may indeed be time for Energy Surge to step down and let other Mesmer Elites take some spotlight, I feel that this change, if it is accurate, is just a bit too much.

You should hang out on IRC more often imo. We need more people to remind Savio he loves Sundering.

Oh yeah and that Incendiary Arrows update is looking nice, as well as Wither.

if the only change to SF is 1...5 instead of 1...6, i will be very happy. hopefully at 16 fire magic it will still be 7 seconds, but not a huge deal.

So if this turns out to be accurate, Anerf finally swung the bat and killed the one(2) skill that makes getting FoW armor possible?

Everyone, I'm just going to pop in here and tell you know that when the actual updates are released in English this thread will be closed and discussion will start in the Skill Changes Discussion forum under the Guild Wars Test Weekend forum.

Also, a friendly reminder that one-liners and posts that we feel are not constructive but merely a short praise or criticism will be deleted in the other forum. So when those forums open up please remember to provide detailed feedback on why you believe a skill change was necessary, why you like the new skill change, reasons you believe a skill change will not work, etc. and let's have the devs thankful that they decided to do open public test weekends.

The Area of Effect was the only thing that made Energy Surge better than Energy burn.At this point its basicly an exact elite copy of Energy Burn.

Something else interesting:

The Lightbringer title is now a toggle, and can be used with other titles.

So, atleast PvErs get something.

I managed to decipher a few elementalist ones:

Stone Daggers: Damage increased to 8...33
Shock: Damage increased to 15...60
Bed of Coals: Reduced energy cost to 10
Blinding Surge: Energy increased to 10
Fire Storm: Reduced energy to 10, increased damage to 10...35
Phoenix: reduced casting time to 10 energy
Arc Lightning: increased damage to 15...60
Icy Shackles: increased recharge to 15, reduce duration to 4...10 seconds. Changed effect to: enemy moves 66% slower, (While uder effects of enchantment: 90%)
EDIT: Searing Heat: reduced energy to 15, increased damage to 10...40
Water Trident:25% water rate increase. (dunno what that means)
Lightning Hammer: reduced recharge to 2 seconds (not sure about that, seems like a lot)

There's more, that's all I was really able to get.

EDIT: The update seems to be live!
